Pistachio Slivers D are the lowest grade of pistachio slivers in terms of visual uniformity, but they are still considered usable and practical in terms of taste and nutritional value. This grade includes very irregular slivers, broken pieces, short cuts, or mixtures with small pistachio kernel pieces that, during the cutting and separation process, are classified as grade D.
In terms of appearance, Pistachio Slivers D show a high variation in size and shape, and their color is usually a combination of green, dark green, and sometimes slightly yellowish. This grade is not suitable for direct decoration, but it is very efficient for blended and processed applications.
The main use of Pistachio Slivers D is in the production of pistachio paste, pistachio powder, nut creams, ice cream, industrial sweets, and bulk food products. In these cases, the pistachio slivers are not seen directly, and after mixing or grinding, their main role is to provide flavor, aroma, and nutritional value.
From an economic point of view, Pistachio Slivers D are the most cost‑effective option for large producers and factories. This grade makes it possible to use real pistachios at minimum cost and is very suitable for continuous production lines.
In terms of nutritional value, Pistachio Slivers D do not have a fundamental difference from higher grades and still contain protein, beneficial fats, and minerals. The main difference is only in appearance and grading, not in the nature of the pistachio.
